Conwy Biodiversity Week

6 06 2009

BIODIVERSITY Could well be one of the buzzwords of our time.

But it certainly isn’t here. It’s just a word. A name. And its part of an All Wales Biodiversity Week, which is being celebrated by Conwy County Borough Council.

Anne Butler is part of the Biodiversity team. I spoke to her for Tudno FM about the week. (File is MP3 and is 15 minutes long, at 96kbps – about 10mb in size)

Some of the events are:

Gasp at the amazing Honeycomb reef at Llanddulas, near Beach Caravan Park, Beach House Road. Tuesday 9th June, 6pm

Look out for seaside treasures on the Beach Clean and Comb, Pensarn beach, Thursday 11th June, 6.30pm.

Learn all about the salmon hatching and freshwater pearl mussel programme at the Maerdy Salmon Hatchery, Wednesday 10th June, 6.30pm.

I’m sure they look forward to seeing you there. For more information, go to the website or click here to download the programme (PDF File, and needs the PDF reader)

Should be a good week or so.
