Radio Journalism Work

I am also a Broadcast Journalist. I have worked for a number of radio stations, either presenting programmes, news bulletins, or a mixture of both. I have also had extensive work experience with the BBC.

BBC Five Live – December 2008 & May 2009
Work Experience shadowing as the programme is broadcast.
Researching and writing cues. Gained experience of ENPS.
In May, working on Drive, Simon Mayo, Victoria Derbyshire, and Breakfast. Fixing interviews and items and researching topics. Also Forward Planning with Simon Mayo.

Focal Radio – November 2008 – May 2009.
Weekend News Presenter
Covering News show weekdays.

Gained experience of P Squared systems.

Tudno FM – March 2008 – Present.
Broadcast Journalism, interviews, reporting, Bulletins
Presented ‘Tudno Talks’ – a community discussion show, from July 14th – Sept 13th 2008 and through 2009.
Also cover presenter for various shows.
Gained Experience of Clyde Broadcast Synergy

BBC Blast – June – August 2008.
Preparing a news report and package for radio. Broadcast on BBC Radio 5 Live. Report is found in Audio Section.
Gained experience of Adobe Audition, Radioman and ENPS.

Coast 96.3 and Champion 103 – June 2008
Freelance Broadcast Journalism. Writing stories, recording and editing interviews.
Gained experience of Brian news production system.

AXIS Festival Radio – April/May 2008.
News production and interviews, reporting and presenting bulletins.
