My Photographic Kit

Its the question a lot of people will ask. So here it is:

I use a Canon EOS 30D Digital SLR Camera. With it, i use a Battery Grip (BG-E2N) to extend the life and to make it easier to handle.

Lenses? Yes i use them (obviously). They are

  • Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
  • Canon 90-300mm f/4.5-5.6
  • Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM
  • Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM
  • Canon 50mm f/1.8

I also use Off Camera Flash. I use a Canon Speedlite 430EX, and 580EX II. I have an Off Camera Shoe Cord, to use the flash off the hot shoe. The 580EX II allows me to remote fire the 430EX as well.

For Diffusion and lighting, i have a Barn Door unit for the flash, with honeycomb grid attachment, Diffueser attachment, and gels. I use colour correction and balance gels, as well as creative ones, thanks to Flash Gels website

I use a Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod with the 486RC2 Compact Ball Head. I have a lowepro trekker bag to carry all the camera kit, and a tripod bag from Manfrotto to carry the tripod.

To edit, i use a Macbook, with Canon Digital Photo Professional, iPhoto and Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 on Windows.

Hope that answers questions.
